Antivirus AI received AV-TEST certification in 2023, 2024 and 2025. The January 2025 test assessed version 2.1 for protection, performance and usability. In a separate 2025 assessment, DEKRA evaluated the app's own security under MASA L1.

Two engines, complementary analysis
Dual Engine combines known malware signatures with AI analysis. Signature checks help identify familiar threats. AI examines suspicious patterns to help assess new or disguised malware. Together, the approaches give you two ways to examine potentially harmful software.

Deep Detective adds heuristic checks for suspicious patterns. Protectstar AI CLOUD supports threat assessment and provides updated protection rules. These technologies support the scan when you check unfamiliar apps or downloads and review a detected risk.

Open a finding to see which app or file is affected. Review the result, then delete a harmful file or follow Android's uninstall steps for a malicious app. You decide which action to take. Afterwards, run another scan to look for remaining detectable threats.

Privacy without advertising
No adverts, no advertising trackers and no sale of personal data. Complete apps and file contents are not uploaded to Protectstar. Security services may process technical app, file and device information, such as package names and checksums, and file names or paths where needed.
