Your therapist asks how last week went. You remember a feeling and maybe two words. Some people call it therapy amnesia. MindSync is a therapy journal that keeps the rest and sums it up in a Prep Card the day before, so you walk in knowing where to start.
"I love how the AI feature organizes my notes and thoughts to help me figure out what comes up most often... so I know what to work on with my therapist." Grace, therapy client
How it work
After a session: talk or type for a minute and MindSync turns it into a session card: topics, questions, to-dos, realizations. Each card shows your progress since the last session. Or record the session, if your therapist agrees. MindSync tells the two voices apart where it can and writes the summary.
Between sessions: leave a voice note when something comes up and MindSync transcribes it into your therapy notes. Talk it through with Orca, the app's AI assistant, in Reflect. Themes that keep coming back get their own thread. The app suggests, you decide.
Before the next session: a Prep Card, auto-generated, with what to raise and what you promised to try.
Homework, agenda and everything you said
Workspace holds your agenda for the next session, your goals and your to-dos: homework from your therapist and action points from Orca in one list. Timeline keeps every entry in order: session notes, recordings and realizations. Share any card with your therapist as an image.
"My patients come in prepared. We spend the session working, not recapping." Kate (therapist)
See what's changing
Change is hard to see from the inside, and a mood tracker alone won't show it. Your Character page does: six strengths grow each time they show up in your therapy journal. If a line doesn't sound like you, tap "Not quite" and it stops counting.
• Mood tracker in plain words: rate sleep, worry or anything else from 1 to 10 and read the trend.
• Habit tracker for habits you want to keep, and habits you want to drop.
• A check-in on how it's going with your therapist.
• Weekly and monthly summaries that show the pattern you'd miss day to day.
Meet Orca
Orca is MindSync's AI assistant for the days between sessions. It's software. It doesn't replace your therapist; it helps you remember and prepare. A psychologist on the MindSync team reviews how Orca is designed to respond. In Settings you can see everything Orca remembers and delete any of it.
Why keep your own record
In a study, a week after a session patients recalled only a fifth to a third of what their therapist had covered (Lee & Harvey, 2015). Across 58 studies and almost 22,000 clients, tracking progress in therapy meant slightly better results and fewer dropouts (de Jong et al., 2021). A therapy journal you keep yourself fills that gap, whatever kind of counseling or psychotherapy you're in. MindSync gives no medical advice. It keeps your session notes organized.
Privacy
Your session notes are encrypted in transit and at rest (AES-256). MindSync deletes the audio from voice notes and recordings as soon as the transcript exists. There are no ads, and MindSync never sells your data. You can delete any entry, or your whole account, whenever you want.
Free to start
Four days of Premium, free. No card needed, and it ends without charging you. After that, the Free plan gives you a few session cards, voice notes and Reflect messages each month, plus a couple of session recordings.
Premium lifts those caps and adds voice talks with Orca. Billed through Google Play. Cancel anytime there.
Try it before your next session and walk in knowing where to start.
MindSync isn't a crisis service. If you're in danger, call your local emergency number. In the US, you can call or text 988 any time, 911 in Europe.
