About this app

Nap & Recharge is a power nap timer and gentle nap alarm for daytime rest. It's free to use with no ads and no account, your nap data stays on your phone, and Pro is an optional one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Free: 8 naps from 6 to 60 minutes, the gentle alarm, background sounds, meditations, stories, and weekly and monthly stats. Pro adds naps up to 2 hours, a custom timer, a sound mixer, all sounds and voices, and deeper stats.

Made for daytime naps, not overnight sleep tracking.

A nap timer that waits for you to drift off
Set a sleep buffer for the time you need to fall asleep (1 to 3 minutes free, up to 30 with Pro). The nap timer starts after it ends, so you get your full nap without watching the clock.

Science-based naps for different goals
• Micro-Memory Nap (6 min), 10-Minute Booster, Quick-Recovery Nap (15 min)
• Power Nap (20 min), Coffee Nap (20 min), Recovery Nap (30 min)
• A 26-minute nap inspired by a NASA study of long-haul pilots
• REM-Sleep Nap (60 min)
• Pro: naps of 40, 45, 90, and 120 minutes, a Night-Shift Double Nap, and a custom timer from 1 minute to 3 hours
Each preset explains when it helps, shows its sleep stages, links to its study, and has tips against grogginess.

Gentle, reliable wake-up
Gentle Start raises the alarm volume and vibration over 15 to 60 seconds. The alarm shows full screen even on a locked phone and is restored after a restart. Optional Do Not Disturb keeps your phone quiet, but the alarm still gets through. 6 alarm tones are free, 17 with Pro.

Sounds, meditations, and stories
Relax to Rain on Tent, White Noise, Brown Noise, Crackling Bonfire, Inside Train, and more (10 sounds free, 21 with Pro, including Summer Forest). Guided meditations and stories help you switch off (3 of each free, 10 with Pro). Pro also lets you mix two sounds and import your own audio. You can preview every Pro sound before you buy.

Nap tracker and insights
Rate each nap for clarity, energy, and mood, and see your history, a heatmap of when your naps work best, and your monthly Recharge effect: how much your naps recharge you. Pro adds yearly and all-time stats, personal records, and What works for you: the nap length, time of day, and sounds that suit you best. Share your monthly recap and look back on your nap year. An energy battery charges up with your naps, and badges reward your routine.

Quick start and Timer only
Start a nap from the home screen widget, the Quick Settings tile, or a long press on the app icon. Timer only runs a nap without saving or rating it. Reminders can suggest a good time based on your best-rated naps.

Private by design
No account, no ads, no analytics or tracking tools. Back up with a JSON file, a daily auto-backup to a folder you pick, or your phone's own Android backup. CSV and PDF export with Pro.

Make it yours
18 dark themes (5 free), 5 layout sizes, TalkBack support, and a tablet-friendly layout. In English, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German; meditations and stories are spoken in English. Android 9 or later.

Made by a solo developer in Austria for students, shift workers, new parents, and anyone who needs a midday recharge.

I just explored the app, it's beautifully designed. Usually, when trying out a new app, there's one standout feature that catches your attention. But in this case, the entire experience feels thoughtfully crafted. Dev has paid attention to even the smallest details like the summary notification before the timer starts, and the subtle "Nap Finished!" popup followed by the prompt asking "How did your nap go?". These touches really help in tracking personal patterns over time. I recommend this app.

That’s wonderful to hear! I focused on creating a smoothl overall experience rather than just one flashy feature. I'm so glad you noticed the small details. Thanks for the excellent review!

Simple app for managing and tracking naps throughout your day. I'm using it since it's out now: flawless. I particularly like the smooth and straight forward UI. As future improvement an integration of smart watch data would be awesome.

That's fantastic to hear! I put a lot of effort into making the experience more than just a countdown, so it means a lot that you appreciate the features and the added insight into sleep science. Happy napping!
