Frame Digital Watch Face

Frame is a digital dial drawn as one bold outline. A rounded frame holds the time in huge ivory block digits, a curved cap above it carries the date and battery, and three panels step down underneath with steps, walking distance and heart rate. Black ground, one strong color, nothing fussy.

ON THE DIAL

- A large digital time, 24-hour or 12-hour with AM/PM
- Weekday, month and day at the top, in your watch's language, with the battery percentage beside them
- STEPS: today's step count
- DISTANCE: an estimate of how far you have walked today, in kilometers
- BPM: your heart rate, or -- while the watch has no reading
- One complication at the bottom, sunrise and sunset out of the box
- Two app shortcut slots tucked into the black space beside the panels

THE COMPLICATION AND THE TWO SHORTCUTS

Press and hold the dial and tap Customize.

The complication at the bottom shows sunrise or sunset times until you change it. It takes short text, so most data sources fit: a timer, the next event, the weather from your weather app and so on. A source that reports a value with a range shows as a number there, with no progress arc. You can also leave it empty.

The two app shortcut slots sit one above BPM and one below STEPS. Give each one an app and a single tap opens it. They show the app's icon and nothing else. Leave one unassigned and it draws nothing.

The date, battery, steps, distance and heart rate are part of the dial itself, not complications, so they cannot be swapped for other data.

ABOUT THE DISTANCE

Wear OS gives watch faces no distance reading, so Frame works it out from your steps with a fixed stride of 0.69 m. It is an estimate: your real stride may be longer or shorter, and it is not a GPS or Samsung Health distance. It always shows kilometers.

YOUR CHOICES IN CUSTOMIZE

- Color theme: Amber, Coral, Ice, Lime or Violet. The color runs through the whole frame and the labels.
- Time format: 24 hour, or 12 hour with AM or PM just under the clock. This choice belongs to the face, so it does not follow your watch's own setting.

ALWAYS-ON

On the always-on screen the colored frame, the panels, the complication and the shortcuts switch off. A smaller gray clock, the date and the battery stay on black.

GOOD TO KNOW

The Customize labels are in English in every language. There is no phone app, no account, no ads and no subscription.

Buy it on your phone, then open the Play Store on your watch, where it is waiting in your library. Press and hold your current face, swipe to Frame and tap it.
