About this app

Needs a Wear OS watch. The phone app is only the bridge to Health Connect.

Rowing Tracker records your indoor rowing. Strokes, stroke rate, split and watts are calculated from your wrist motion and your input. You focus on what matters: the rowing.

Use this tracker to track your indoor rowing with stroke rate, split and intervals. Want it customized? Feel free to contact us.

Features:
- Stroke rate and stroke count from the wrist, no extra sensor needed
- Programs: free row, time goal, stroke goal, intervals — and a distance goal once your first row is saved
- Interval presets (4x2:00/1:00, 6x1:00/1:00, 8x0:30/0:30, 5x4:00/2:00, 3x10:00/3:00) or your own work (up to 30 minutes), rest and rounds
- Vibration at the phase change, a countdown in the last three seconds
- Split, watts, calories, heart rate and highest heart rate on two pages
- Distance from the machine typed in after the stop, in 10, 25, 50 or 100 m steps, saved with the row
- Meters per stroke learned from your saved rows, and a distance estimate during the row
- No GPS, no location permission
- Heart rate from the watch's sensor, colored by heart rate zone
- History on the watch with your newest 100 rows, each named after its program, such as "Intervals 4×2:00"
- Average and maximum heart rate in the history
- No tap ever starts or stops a row: hold the upper half of the screen for a second — or use a spare side button if your watch has one, so wet hands do not end a row by accident
- Available in 28 languages

Settings on the watch: stroke detection from the wrist (on or off), step of the distance entry, reset the calibration, countdown vibration, vibration at the goal, stop after the last round.

How to use:
1. Pick a program: a tap selects, the green arrow button goes on
2. Press the side button or hold the upper half of the screen to begin the recording
3. Stop the same way you started
4. Type in the meters from the machine's monitor, the green arrow button (or the side button) goes on
5. Choose Continue, Save or Discard

Settings and History: the "⋯" at the bottom of the first screen.

A small companion app for the phone comes with it. It writes each saved row to Health Connect on your phone and does nothing else; there the row arrives as a rowing machine workout. The meters you typed in are marked as entered by hand, and a distance the app only estimated is not written at all. It is optional: the watch app works on its own, and neither app uses an internet connection. Your heart rate curve goes to Health Connect too.

Works on the watch alone: your rows stay on this watch. No ads, no subscription, no account.
