VoxMend: Voice Typing Fix

VoxMend turns your speech into text on your phone and lets you correct it before it goes anywhere.

HOW IT WORKS
• Tap Dictate and speak. A preview shows what is being heard; finished parts are added at the cursor.
• Select a wrong word, tap Say again and say the right one. You see the old and the new words side by side and decide.
• Undo reverses the last change. Copy, share, or save the text as a file.
• My words: tell VoxMend how to write names and terms it gets wrong ("when I say this, write that").
• Two speech languages, one tap to switch between them. VoxMend never translates and never switches by itself.
• Voice keyboard: dictate straight into other apps, with one button back to your usual keyboard.
• Apps that ask Android for speech input can use VoxMend when you choose it.
• Saved texts: every change is saved on the phone, so a closed app does not lose your text. They are deleted after the time you set (24 hours by default).
• Diagnostics shows which microphone Android reports (phone, Bluetooth, wired, USB) and a two-second microphone check.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
• It does not record sound to a file, and it does not listen unless you tap the microphone.
• It does not rewrite, tidy or translate your words.
• Recognition makes mistakes. Quality differs by language: English and Spanish are more accurate than Turkish, French or Arabic with the standard model.
• The voice keyboard does not type with keys and does not work in password fields. Some fields (some web pages, games, remote desktops) do not accept keyboard text; then use the editor and copy.
• Sound that was still being recognised when the app closed cannot be recovered; only finished text is saved.
• It cannot confirm that another app keeps the text it sends, and never resends it on its own.

SPEECH MODELS
Recognition uses OpenAI Whisper models (MIT licence) through whisper.cpp, on the phone. The standard model (60 MB) is downloaded once through Google Play; a more accurate model (190 MB) is offered on phones with 3 GB of memory or more. Each file is checked against a fixed fingerprint before use.

PRIVACY
VoxMend has no internet permission, no account, no analytics and no ads SDK. Your text stays on the phone and is not backed up. Nine app languages: English, Arabic, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian and Turkish. Speech recognition languages: the same nine, at different quality levels.
