I've spent my life avoiding alphas. Now I'm trapped in a tent with one who claims I'm his mate.
Emil has spent years hiding his omega nature and keeping alphas at a distance. He can handle a few nights alone on the mountain.
Then the storm rolls in.
Trapped in his tent, Emil wakes to find a stranger beside him: half-shifted, possessive and convinced Emil belongs to him. Emil fights the pull between them—and the fear that surrendering to an alpha means giving up the independence he has worked so hard to protect.
By morning, the stranger’s identity will cut deeper than the storm ever could.
Gunnar has been Emil’s closest friend for years. He has also known they were mates. Now Emil must decide whether a bond he never asked for can become something he chooses.

Excerpt:
I woke abruptly as I suddenly became aware of someone lying half on top of me.
“What the hell?” I mumbled just as I heard the tent zipper being pulled up. The wind must have died down a lot. It was no longer howling as much as it had been. But as I felt something furry against my hand, I stiffened completely.
“You f*cking idiot,” someone muttered in a deep voice. The voice was hoarse but unmistakably male.
I reached for my headlight, but it was pushed away from me. The person in the tent pulled down the zipper of my sleeping bag and quickly rolled me to the side before he got in behind me.
I thought I had imagined the fur. Now it felt more like he was naked all over.
“What the hell are you doing?” I mumbled as he wrapped his left arm around my body and pulled me close to him.
“Stay still,” he commanded as he spooned my smaller body.
This guy must be huge, I realised as I finally discovered just how much bigger he was.
“What are you doing in my tent?”
“What do you think I’m doing? I’m saving your ass and making sure you don’t make any foolish decisions.”
His voice sounded so high-handed that there was no doubt that the guy was an alpha.
“I don’t need any rescue. I was doing just fine before you got here, buddy,” I informed him tensely.
“That’s what you think. What if the weather had turned even worse? What if your tent had blown away? And you’re lying here sleeping.” He snorted as if I had done something incredibly stupid.
“If you’re just going to complain, you can find another tent.”
“I’m not going anywhere. You need protection,” he said with a growl.
This guy must be more feral than I suspected. I turned around and looked at him, noticing his eyes had a yellow tint. He was definitely closer to the edge than I preferred.
“Alright. I guess I can’t just throw you out into the storm.”
