What is your life worth when the world only wants your image?
Once upon a time, Cody Blaine was famous. Beloved, memed, and immortalized as a nerdy sidekick on a hit TV show, he was never the hero—just the guy who delivered the punchlines. Now, in a future where artificial intelligence has quietly replaced actors, Cody is a relic: too human for the studios, too desperate to give up on the spotlight.
After a disastrous night in Las Vegas leaves him publicly disgraced, financially ruined, and literally stitched back together with experimental tech, Cody hits rock bottom. His marriage is crumbling, his career is dead, and his former co-stars have moved on to greener—and more profitable—pastures. Just when all hope seems lost, a mysterious company called CONFAB offers him a way back into the game.
But don’t call this a comeback. Instead, Cody has been recruited to star in a mysterious, ultra-exclusive film project—one that promises to make him relevant again, no matter the cost. And when Cody realizes he can’t simply walk off set, the line between acting and survival disappears completely.
