Her husband wants to play a game. Winner lives. Loser dies.
Maddy Jensen appears to live the perfect life. She works as a nurse at a prestigious hospital in Maine. Her husband is an eminent psychiatrist. They vacation in Cancun and Europe every year. But appearances can be deceptive . . .
Behind closed doors, nothing is as it appears. Secrets, manipulation, and control flourish in their marriage like strangling weeds among dying flowers.
When her husband suggests spending Halloween at the lake house, Maddy senses danger. The lake house is where her father died a year ago, at Halloween, in mysterious circumstances.
She's about to become a player in one of her husband's games, one where the winner takes all and the loser dies.
When the endgame is played, who will survive?
The game is about to begin . . .
