About this ebook

Chaucer for the nursery: the Prologue, the Knight's Tale, the Franklin's and the Pardoner's, given in Mrs Haweis's modernised verse with the Middle English printed beside it. Forty-six plates after Leighton and Millais, from Chaucer's own court to the North-West Passage, open the medieval world the verses describe.
