About this ebook
Most people who believe they cannot draw were simply never taught the right sequence. When a sketch of a house or room looks wrong, it is rarely due to a lack of talent or a shaky hand. Instead, it is usually because the shapes are in the wrong proportion, the angles are incorrect, or the details were drawn before the fundamental structure was established. Trying to draw a window before the wall, or drawing the wall before establishing where you are standing, leads to frustrating results.
Architectural Sketching Made Simple by Kudirat Salahudeen Ade provides a clear, learnable procedure to overcome these common hurdles. This step-by-step beginner's guide introduces the Five-Pass Method: Eye, Box, Divide, Detail, and Weight. By following this specific order of operations, you will learn to reduce complex buildings to simple solids, accurately place your horizon line, and divide spaces without needing a ruler. The book focuses on freehand perspective drawing for both buildings and interiors, using only a small, inexpensive kit of basic tools.
