About this ebook

You have an MPJE date. Hold it. Between now and then: 495 questions with every option explained, three full-length practice exams at the real 120-item length, an 8-day plan. No login, no expiry.

We built this the way a preceptor runs a law review, not the way a shelf gets filled. The MPJE delivers 120 items in 2.5 hours. Of those, 100 are scored and 20 are pretest items you cannot pick out. Delivery is adaptive: no skipping, no going back. NABP defines four competency areas: Pharmacist Practice at 33 percent, Dispensing Requirements at 24, Licensure and Personnel at 22, Pharmacy Operations at 21. Those four govern exams sat before 1 March 2027, when a new NABP content outline takes over. Your state board licenses its own item pool on top of the federal core. The state law in your sitting is your board's, not ours. Check us against NABP's published competency statements. We would rather you did.

What's inside

495 original questions, all four options explained on every one. Every option ties back to the rule that decides it and the trap set beside it.

Three full-length exams at 120 items, the length you actually sit, each at exam weighting.

A 25-question diagnostic that finds the gaps before day one becomes a week of rereading what you knew.

Eight days across federal law. The Controlled Substances Act, controlled-substance prescriptions and records, the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, dispensing standards with OBRA-90, licensure and pharmacy operations.

Privacy, compounding and the state question. HIPAA, PPPA, pseudoephedrine limits and DSCSA; USP 795, 797 and 800; 503A against 503B; and a method for reading your own board's rules.

Decision trees and threshold tables. Refill and transfer limits by schedule, DEA forms 222, 224, 106 and 41, and the deadlines the exam asks you to name. Maybe the last law book you opened was statute text with a quiz behind it. Give it three evenings. If the diagnostic finds no federal-law gap worth an evening, put it down. An hour is all it cost.

It fits three situations. A student sitting the MPJE alongside the NAPLEX. A pharmacist licensing into a second state. Someone back after a near miss. If controlled-substance recordkeeping is already your day job, start at Day 3.

Day 2 is refills, partial fills and transfers, schedule by schedule, and it is a slog. You will finish it anyway, and you'll see the pattern the exam returns to. Downloaded once, yours to keep.

About the author

Passmark builds one kind of book: the one that makes your study hours count. We start from a simple conviction — a certification exam is a skills test, not a memory test — so we never hand you a wall of facts to reread. Our method comes from the science of how memory actually holds: you learn by retrieving, not rereading; you revisit on a widening schedule so it sticks; every answer is explained, right and wrong, so you keep the reasoning; and a diagnostic points your hours where they will move your score. We read each exam's current blueprint ourselves, write every question from scratch, and check every number in the book — question counts, domain weights, practice tests — against the finished pages, not the marketing. When an exam changes, our books change with it.
