About this ebook

Two Americans inherit a Swiss chalet with a housekeeper, a cow and a pair of Bolshevik agents in the neighbourhood, in wartime Switzerland. Fifty-eight plates of Swiss lakes, Alps and market squares, from Hodler to Loutherbourg, keep the country itself in view while the household keeps up its pretenses.
