Millions of fans are watching Ruby—and wishing they could be her.
Playing Angel MacFarley on Kensington Heights ought to be a dream come true, but keeping the gig is never simple. Between dodging rumors that the producers want a more glamorous girl and rehearsing lines under the studio lights, Ruby is convinced she is one bad camera angle away from being axed. If only staying in the spotlight were half as easy as playing pretend.
Off the set, things are even messier. Her father has packed his bags for a flat down the road, her mother is fighting back tears over dinner, and her best friend Nydia has a dozen wild schemes to fix everything. Her own parents, though, are not nearly as simple to sort out as a thirty-minute script.
If only they knew that behind the scenes, Ruby's life is falling apart.
Between frantic costume changes, script crises, and family upheaval, surviving thirteen takes serious drama.
