Max has unique ability that allows him to travel to different dreams and while he's there he must help the "Dreamer" overcome their worst nightmares. These nightmares are the Dreamer's darkest fears manifested into "Boogeyman." Max cannot defeat the Boogeyman himself but he can stop the Boogeyman from killing the Dreamer.
