It has been said that the Church spends more time bickering over doctrine than winning souls, yet without sound doctrine, the Apostle Paul tells us that the body of Christ will be “tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.” How important is the doctrine of the Inspiration of Scripture?

In The Inspiration of Scripture, Billy Prewitt unlocks the powerful doctrine that churches all over the world list as the first item in their statements of beliefs. In this concise book, you will learn...

● the real meaning of inspiration, inerrancy, and infallibility,

● what the Bible says about itself,

● the value of the Bible for believers and the Church,

● great ways to instruct believers, and

● evangelism tools for reaching unbelievers.

In addition, you will explore controversial questions raised by skeptics such as supposed manuscript disagreements, and see how the Bible itself exposes errors in the opinions of scholars such as the claim that doctrine cannot be formed from narrative texts.

Some say they read the Bible for inspiration, yet the Bible is far more than a book to make you feel good when you are down. Rather, it is more like a sword that cuts to the very core of the human heart. How is reading a book with black and red letters inked on its pages able to translate a person from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light? In The Inspiration of Scripture, the power underneath the black and red letters is unleashed, and you will see for yourself how vital this doctrine is to your survival as a Christian.

ஆசிரியர் குறிப்பு

"If you ask me to give a speech on any other subject, I become very nervous, but put a Bible in my hand and all of that nervousness disappears."

Billy Prewitt sensed the Lord's calling on his life at an early age. He originally pursued a career in music playing the trumpet; however, after receiving numerous scholarships, awards, touring across the United States and England, performing for President George Bush, playing as a featured soloist with bands and symphony orchestra, and many other musical accomplishments, he had no satisfaction. It was at this point, that his dad suggested that he enroll in Bible college for one semester. That one semester turned into years of Bible College which changed his life and helped him to discover his true calling. Since that time, he has been actively involved in ministry: preaching, teaching, door-to-door witnessing, counseling, outdoor crusades, and doing whatever else he can to see the Lord's work advance.

Billy Prewitt holds a Master of Arts in Theology, Master of Education in Educational Leadership, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sacred Music. He has served as a youth pastor, associate pastor, and senior pastor. He is married to Rebekah Prewitt, a Christian counselor and author of "You Can Be a Happy Wife: A Look at the Wife's Role" and a wonderful online Premarital Preparation Course.
