About this ebook

Hopeward is a compendium of gospel-rich allegories written to inspire and equip young disciples of Jesus to proclaim and follow him faithfully until he returns.

From “The Narrow Path,” where two little ants make friends and collect “faith,” “truth,” “boldness,” and other cool stickers on their way to the New Jerusalem; to “Streams in the Desert,” where four camels heed Jesus’ call to leave arrogance and comforts behind to take the gospel to the scary, despised creatures of the desert; to “The Western Woods,” where Jesus sends an unlikely group out to convey his challenging but merciful word of discipline to different parts of his woodland family; to “Refuge in the Storm,” where a family of bears learns to trust Jesus for protection, guidance, and provision at the end of the age; readers are invited to share in the adventures of ordinary creatures strengthened by an extraordinary God to follow Jesus no matter what.

Rooted in Scripture, informed by an awareness of global Christianity, and inspired by the example of the persecuted church, Hopeward is a fun but urgent call to authentic New Testament discipleship in light of the fact that believers are one day closer to the King’s return.
