What the Wolves Know
Sobre aquest llibre
ONE TERRIFYING NIGHT.
A bold new direction from New York Times bestselling author Cynthia Hand, perfect for fans of 49 Miles Alone, follows two girls as they are hunted by a threat far more dangerous than the wolves that lurk in the forest.
Aspen knows wolves are endangered—she just doesn’t really care. As the daughter of a famous wolf advocate, she is sick of playing second fiddle to a bunch of animals. And it doesn’t help that she can’t tell her mom about how she’s falling for a boy who happens to be the son of an outspoken proponent of wolf trapping.
Maya loves wolves. She cannot comprehend why Aspen isn’t more excited to be working with her activist mom—Maya would do anything to prove her commitment to the cause.
The two girls have always kept a steady distance from each other...until Maya decides to blackmail Aspen into helping Maya target one hunter’s traps. But what was supposed to be an afternoon of quiet civil disobedience quickly turns to something more dire. Because trappers in the Idaho woods don’t take kindly to interference. And when the two girls end up stranded in the forest, they’ll have to use all their wits to survive the night—and escape the hunter set on finding them.
