McMillan File

Former FBI undercover agent turned fugitive recovery specialist Mica McMillan doesn't back down from a fight. When a client hires her to look into a suspicious death, Mica stumbles into a shadowy human trafficking and drug syndicate. But after an ambush leaves her severely injured, she lands in an Atlanta emergency room bruised, battered, and ready to settle the score.

Dr. David Rider is used to chaotic shifts, but he never expected his high school crush to crash into his trauma bay. Recognizing the unstoppable woman beneath the injuries, David insists on driving her home—only to be pulled directly into her dangerous investigation. From picking motel room locks to surviving street brawls, David jumps into the fray beside her as an undeniable chemistry ignites between the battle-hardened investigator and the dedicated ER doctor.

When a hit squad opens fire and forces them to flee into the dark Georgia woods, David is forced to turn to his estranged mother, the commander of an elite private security firm. Caught in the crosshairs of a ruthless criminal empire, Mica and David must combine their martial arts skills, medical expertise, and undercover tradecraft to dismantle the conspiracy before they become the next casualties.
