About this ebook
#1 New York Times bestselling author Kim Harrison returns to the ever-after one last time in this never-before-published short story!
The origins of the elf and demon war have been shrouded — until now. Told from a demon’s point of view, join Al as he helps Newt spin the curse that caused the elven downfall… and perhaps holds the beginnings of their own reclamations.
- Race Against Time: Newt stalls for every precious second as Kalla tempts her with fresh raspberries, waiting for his seven trackers to step within range of her circle.
- Morally Grey Hero: Gally suppresses his burning fury and the ache of his severed thumb, determined to survive the ambush and uncover what became of his stolen Celfnnah.
- Found Family: Bound together as the last five runaways in the ever-after, Dali offers his own threadbare red robe to conceal the scars on Newt’s wrists.
- Forbidden Magic: Channeling the screaming ley lines directly into her body, Newt risks absolute destruction to unleash a devastating three-word incantation.
- Also by This Author: The Witch with No Name, The Undead Pool and Dead Witch Walking.

The story itself was fine. I didnt realize it was only 19 pages and I also didn't realize that it was add to the back of A Witch With No Name and it was the entire book.

Good story but I thought it would be longer. I was expecting a book though. I should have checked. Bit expensive for 19 pages.

Haven't read this 1 yet, so bummed when you finished the hollows series. Loved it for years. Good work, different.
