About this ebook

She built a city to bring the galaxy together. Now the city is coming apart.

Danny Andela has survived an empire, a war, and more than one lifetime of hard decisions. Lyonesse was supposed to be the reward: a city in space where former enemies could live side by side, and where she could help the Bai take another step toward the wider galaxy.

Then the failures begin. A mysteriously revoked travel visa. A disastrous malfunction in a residential dome. Accidents that seem unrelated—until the next one puts lives at risk.

Danny refuses to ignore the warning signs. But her determination to act has a terrible price. The celebrated veteran finds herself at odds with the people running the city, increasingly isolated from her allies, and forced to ask whether her instincts are still saving lives—or making everything worse.

With a historic diplomatic conference approaching, Lyonesse cannot afford another disaster. And Danny cannot stand aside when she believes people are in danger.

Solar Whisper launches Hammer Down, a new Danny Andela space opera series from Cameron Cooper. Political intrigue, an extraordinary interstellar city, old friendships under strain, and the difficult question of what a hero does when nobody wants her help.

The Hammer Down series:

Praise for Cam’s previous two Hammer series:

Wow, what a ride.

A complex and interesting series.

Deep complex, wonderful world building and character development.

…it was what happened to the cast of characters that made this series so enthralling for me.

An incredible set of stories. There is nothing else out there like this.

A sprawling epic space opera spanning many long decades.

I am in awe of the writing ability and imagination of Cameron Cooper.

Brilliant and intricate.

…it was one helluva run. The ending is an extraordinary coming together of the people.

I am so enthralled with the series that I am impatient for the release of the next book.

Cameron somehow describes scenes in ways that make me feel like I am actually present

This story truly does justice to the legacies of the greats, like Orson Scott Card and Frank Herbert.

Edge of your seat action will keep you captivated until the final page!!

Cooper is a masterful storyteller

This is sci-fi at its best.

This story, and the entire series, truly does justice to the greats of science fiction.

The attention to detail makes everything you read plausible and you’ll exist in this new world along with these characters in this incredible story

Cameron is an excellent sci-fi writer, but this series is way beyond anything I anticipated

The depth of the storyline is something you must experience because words would not do it justice

The complex concepts of the space-based life were broken into easy-to-read bites making this adventure totally captivating!

Loved it! It's as intricate & complex as I have come to expect from the two previous Hammer series'. The story slowly built to the point where I was on the edge of my seat with the tension. I really appreciated the recap at the start of the book, I found them especially insightful as it was the author's own words & not just a summary of the events of the books. I highly recommend Danny's latest adventure & it's even better if you've already read the Imperial Hammer & Iron Hammer series' too.
