Andrew Beattie

ANDREW BEATTIE has written for Rough Guides, the Independent on Sunday, and the journal Contemporary Review, and is the author of two previous books in the Landscapes of the Imagination series, on the Alps and the River Danube. He has also written titles for Signal Books on the cities of Prague and Cairo and has contributed to programmes on BBC Radio 4. He is a graduate of Mansfield College, Oxford and lives in London.
