You have a PANRE to sit. Hold the date. Between now and then: 633 questions with every option explained, two practice exams at the full 240-item length, a 9-day plan sized for nine evenings. No login, no expiry.
We built this the way a preceptor runs a recertification review, not the way a shelf gets filled. NCCPA's blueprint, effective January 2023, is the one both formats share: fifteen categories, 240 items in four blocks of 60, four hours. Cardiovascular is 12 percent, pulmonary and gastrointestinal 10 each, emergent topics 2. The exam asks for management calls outside the specialty you practice. Your nine evenings follow those weights, not your interests. Check us against NCCPA's published blueprint. We would rather you did.
What's inside
633 original questions, every option explained. One reason the right answer is right, one for each distractor, so a wrong answer teaches as much as a right one.
Two practice exams at 240 items, both mirroring the fifteen category weights, no item shared between them. Sit them in four blocks of 60, as test day does.
Nine evenings of core medicine, grouped by clinical affinity. The pump, air and exchange, the gut. Hormones and filters, head and skin, frame and blood. Brain and behavior, bugs and the rules, below the belt.
Confidence marking on every question, so you can separate what you knew from what you guessed correctly. That distinction decides where your last evenings go.
21 clinical figures drawn for this book: the ACS cascade, CURB-65 disposition, the stroke clock, anemia by MCV, the rule of nines.
One blueprint covers PANRE-LA too, which NCCPA delivers as recurring smaller question sets, not one sitting. The nine clusters work either way. Maybe you already bought a recert book that was an old outline in new cover art. A 27-question look at the real exam is linked from page one, one per blueprint category. Give it three evenings. If nothing on it surprises you, put the book down. An hour is all it cost.
It fits three PAs. Year nine or ten of the cycle, with a date booked. Someone answering PANRE-LA question sets who wants structure between them. A specialist back to broad core medicine after a decade in one lane. If hospital medicine is already your day job, start at Day 5.
Day 8 pairs infectious disease with the legal and ethical items, and it is the dullest evening in the book. You'll get through it, and the emergent-topics questions stop being a lottery. Downloaded once, yours to keep.
